Noel Sweeney has received many global awards for distilling and whiskey excellence spanning his 30 year career in Irish Whiskey Distilling & Blending.  He is responsible for some of the most iconic Irish Whiskey Brands such as Tyrconnell, Kilbeggan and Connemara.

He was inducted into The Whisky ‘Hall of Fame’ in 2017 and is one of just two Irish distillers to have been recognised in this way.  Recently Noel was recognised for his outstanding contribution to the Irish whiskey industry at the Irish Whiskey Association’s Chairman’s Awards ceremony

Noel is now the Master Distiller and Blender steering the Dublin Mercantile Blending Company as it embarks on the journey to re-ignite the great tradition and innovation of early 1900s Irish whiskey blenders.
